My Fire Project manifests itself around the globe by affecting a lot of people all across the world. According to www.who.int.com, “HIV/AIDS remains one of the world’s most significant public health challenges, particularly in low-and middle-income countries” (10 facts on HIV/AIDS). There are many people in the world who are infected with this disease that cannot be cured at all, but doctors do have medicine to help with the pain, the symptoms, and sometimes drugs to prolong life. According to www.amfar.org, “approximately 1.1 million Americans are living with HIV/AIDS and more than 56,000 become infected with HIV every year (Young People and HIV/AIDS).
My fire project issue is seen, broadcast, talked about, by many people. According www.teenshealth.org, “however a person gets it, some people with HIV might feel alone, isolated, and frightened at times. More than anything, they need good friends like you to lean on and trust” ( Teens Health). Another example is from www.aids.gov: “many people with HIV lead healthy, happy, and productive lives and learn how to cope with disease. And 97% of those living with HIV reside in low income countries, particularly in Africa (HIV Positive).
The social issue about my topic is that HIV is in the media the majority of the time. The issue gets portrayed in the media, but not really broadcast enough. Yes, the media does have commercials and awareness plans, but there are still people that do not the full effect of HIV or AIDS. For example, some people do not know the difference between HIV and AIDS. Some people do not really know that there is any difference. Some people may think that they are the exact same thing but with a different use of names sometimes. I myself am a witness to that mistake. The economic issue is that the medicine to control HIV/AIDs is very expensive for those who do not have health insure or applicable for government assistance. A political issue is there are not enough people stating positive things that can happen to people who are living with HIV. Having HIV is dangerous, but having HIV/AIDs is not the end of the world for people and that is exactly what people fail to realize.
I do not think every issue with HIV/AIDS can be solved. I do think the percentage of people who has this disease can be decrease dramatically if we raise awareness of this way more and wear protection with anyone who is not your husband and/or wife and sometimes them also. People should most definitely all the time get tested every six months to be on the safe side because there is nothing better than just knowing that you are STD/ HIV safe. It’s sometimes the people who think they’re are okay and are not.

My issue of the lack of treatment Hiv provided for those in low-income or poor communities is also present around the world. Hiv is present how people are being affected in the world by hiv and that it can not be saved you have to live with it for the rest of your life. many people don’t know that it can affect you it can mess up your whole life you wont be able to live with yourself because you know that you have something that you can pass to other people. over the years hiv have taken a tool over the community it have been spreading world wide. HIV is not a disease where u can get rid of Hiv is known around the world many people have been affected by HIV/AIds especially teenager they are so young an that they are under the influences that if they know that they friend are having sex they want to do it to but the different between the young girls is that they decide to have un protected sex.
