Our topic impacts the world globally. There are many people who are impacted and affected by this disease emotionally, physically, and mentally. All cities are affected by HIV/AIDs but not as much as countries are. According to www.un.org “More than 36 million people worldwide are living with HIV/AIDs, more than two thirds of them in Sub-Saharan Africa. (COUNTRIES MOST AFFECTED BY HIV/AIDS ARE LEAST ABLE TO PAY FOR PREVENTION AND TREATMENT).
The countries that have a lot of teenagers who are impacted by HIV/AIDs have organizations, programs, and facilities. According to www.un.org “Some 13 million children have been orphaned, because their parents died of AIDs. Three countries Ethiopian, Nigeria, and Uganda- each have more than 900,000 AIDs orphans. Activists in Chicago have many programs that can make teenagers more aware of HIV/AIDs and its symptoms and also help them out through the process learning what their body is about to experience and how to handle it. Also they are here to let people know that they are not also we all are the same regardless of whatever someone is going through.
The global context and the national context are almost exactly the same. The difference is that Global is more around the world and national is more around the areas and/or states you live around. Globally the statistics are much higher than the statistics are nationally. For example according to www.amfar.org “Approximately 1.1 million Americans are living with HIV/AIDs, and more than 56,000 become infected with HIV every year (Statistics: United State).
