I chose this topic, because it was several conversations I discuss with friends and family before I even begun the fire project. I seen so many girls hurt, dysfunctional, torn, and surprised after they found out that they were contracted with an STD I want all young woman to be aware of the statistics, how they can avoid being contracted with HIV/AIDs even STDs, because that it is something all people should want to avoid. I worked on this project for a lot of hours I know for sure it was over 20 hours. I learned a lot of things while doing this project I learned the statistics are really high for young teenagers having HIV/AIDs in Africa. And there are a lot of clinics that are here to help out people who need help to understand what they are going through with HIV/AIDs and how to come out and tell others that you are HIV + if you are comfortable to do so.
Some of my experiences are finding out how there are many people that are friends with people are HIV+ and they are very open about it. What I did to manage my time was I worked on it every chance I had after school I usually have to go straight to work after work I worked on my fire project some. What I learned working with my partner is that we need to do things more together but that was kind of heart to do, because I partner with someone who I don’t have any classes with and I don’t have time to stay after school most of the days we worked on the fire project.
There was no difference with my original goals. The stretch was time consuming The risk was finding people that were willing to do an interview explain what they were going through with being HIV positive. The advice I will give students next year is to be very time consuming with the time and people they are working with if working with someone.
